Dear Brothers and Sisters, Current and Former Bargaining Unit Members,
It is our great pleasure to announce a major victory achieved by your Union, the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) Local 919, on behalf of bargaining unit employees of the U.S. Department of the Navy, Naval Hospital and Naval Dental Center, Camp Pendleton, California.
After years of dedicated efforts by your Union leadership, its attorneys, and The Law Offices of Snider & Associates, advocates for workers’ rights, NFFE Local 919 has successfully resolved its 2024 Overtime Grievance with the Department of the Navy. As a result, damages have been recovered on behalf of the bargaining unit.
For many years, management failed to properly designate and compensate certain employees in accordance with applicable overtime compensation laws. Consequently, many bargaining unit members were not fully compensated for overtime work performed.
Hundreds of employees who worked between May 5, 2014, and March 13, 2024, are expected to benefit from this resolution.
Settlement payments will be administered by Class Action Implementation Group (CAIG), an independent organization specializing in the administration of financial settlements of this nature.
In the coming weeks, CAIG will contact eligible individuals by email, phone, and mail with detailed instructions regarding eligibility and the process for claiming a share of the settlement funds.
